澳洲【王潔予╱綜閤外電報導】已成澳洲雪梨代錶圖騰的雪梨歌劇院，驚傳要關門大吉。負責「把脈」的顧問公司評估，雪梨歌劇院由於財務睏難、年久失修，若資金結構再不改變，最快將在2011會計年度永久關閉。歌劇院執行長伊凡斯估計，光更新最需更換的舞台裝置，至少要8億澳幣（約217.3億元台幣）。一名資深員工坦言，政府若不趕快金援，歌劇院前景堪慮，「從啓用第一天起，國傢就一直剝削歌劇院，卻少有政府投資全麵更新。」顧問公司對歌劇院的評估報告日前外流，指舞台裝置若不更新，「上台的演員、操作懸吊係統或升降梯的工作人員，可能發生危險。」另指歌劇院的懸吊係統「不符國際標準」，紀錄顯示，場內發生的事故及舞台乾擾，多於預期。

提案整修需271億
盡管歌劇院每年吸引大批觀光客造訪，節目也滿檔，但冗員過多、節目票價太低，使得它空有其錶，長年入不敷齣。去年，新南威爾斯省前省長瑞茲（Nathan Rees）提案，由聯邦及地方政府閤資10億澳幣（271.5億元台幣）整修劇院，但惹火原本就不滿意瑞茲政績的總理陸剋文（Kevin Rudd），提案胎死腹中。
