Chinese veterinarians Wei Ming, left, and Wu Honglin, center, visit the giant panda Tuan Tuan at Taipei Zoo yesterday. The panda experts arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday to inspect Tuan Tuan, who has been diagnosed with a brain lesion. As the lesion is close to the base of the skull, the experts advised against surgery and agreed not to pursue further treatment for now, although they praised Taiwanese veterinarians’ efforts, the zoo said.
