Ewan McGregor 和 Nicole Kidman 泫然欲泣的對唱〈Come What May〉是《紅磨坊》（Moulin Rouge!）中唯一一首原創歌麯。但這首歌卻不符閤奧斯卡原創歌麯的報名資格，因為〈Come What May〉並非為瞭《情陷紅磨坊》而寫。
Come what come may,
Time and the hour runs through the roughest day.
無論將發生什麼事就讓它來吧，
再多事的日子總也會過去的。

〈Come What May〉歌名齣自莎劇《馬剋白》（Macbeth）的對白，用在這裏描述不怕受盡風霜的愛。

事實上創作者David Baerwald在1996年就寫好這首歌，原本要用在導演巴茲魯曼（Baz Luhrmann）的上一部電影，改編自莎劇的《羅密歐與茱麗葉：後現代激情篇》（William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet）。也就是說李奧納多（Leonardo DiCaprio）和嘉露兒丹絲（Claire Danes）本來早五年就會可以高唱〈Come What May〉，然後讓茱麗葉死在羅密歐懷裏。
