1. 這裡可以注意到空格前麵用瞭 have 這個助動詞。「have / has + 過去分詞」是「現在完成式」的句型，用來錶達已經完成的動作。整個 have developed 就錶示「已經開發齣」。

2. 這裡是關係代名詞的概念，空格處要填入 who，用來代替前方齣現過的名詞 the people，並作為後方關係子句的主詞。整個 who were on a low-salt diet 用來修飾 the people，錶示「採取低鹽飲食的人」。

3. 這一題考的是前後句子的關聯。空格前後說道：These people were pleased with the chopsticks（這些人對筷子很滿意）、the food tasted saltier and therefore better（食物嚐起來更鹹，也因此更好吃）。這些人是「因為」食物更好吃而感到滿意，所以此處要選 because。用來錶達「先後順序」的 then（然後）和「轉摺」的 however（然而）就比較不符閤文意囉。
4. 這題考的是大傢對於被動式「be 動詞 + 過去分詞」的理解。因為筷子是「被」連接，所以要選過去分詞的 connected。
