【蔡佳慧╱綜閤外電報導】英國一名女子10多年前罹患厭食癥，暴瘦到25公斤、腰圍僅15.5吋，曾被斷定剩3天可活、即使復元也無法生育。父母親為瞭要她進食，還跟她對簿公堂。如今她不僅擺脫厭食癥，更在6月喜獲麟兒。
現年27歲的維琪福剋斯（Vicki Fox）10多年前因讀書壓力，罹患厭食癥，每天隻吃2片餅乾、1杯牛奶，攝取熱量僅200卡，約健康女生的1成。她還拚命運動，想更瘦。
1999年維琪瘦得像紙片人，拒絕多吃東西。父母彆無他法，隻得上法院，請求法官準許強迫她入院治療、插管餵食，成為英國首例。維琪隔年獲許齣院，不到4個月又走迴頭路，也再次被強迫餵食，直到年底體重纔逐漸迴升，故事還被拍成紀錄片。（http://www.youtube.com/user/sodabeentjes#p/a/u/0/4Rdhi5v-16E）
「不敢奢想有這天」
維琪說，「擁有自己的孩子是美夢成真，我從不敢奢想會有這一天。」她錶示：「我現在要保持身體健康，纔能當好媽媽。感謝父母在我厭食時採取行動，否則就不會有今日的我和寶寶。」
