今年協助屏東恆春洋蔥採收的海軍陸戰隊，首次有5名女兵加入，屏東相當炎熱，帶隊的黃湘晶下士說，穿上「洋蔥裝」，不用擦防曬油也能白嫩。一位黃姓女兵採收洋蔥，知道蔥農辛勞後說：「吃洋蔥不能浪費！」陸戰隊錶示，今年派遣600名兵力協助恆春、車城及坊山採收洋蔥。葉姓農民說若無法及時採收，碰到雨季就壞掉，「還好有阿兵哥、阿兵妹幫助我們！」文╱王烱華圖╱餘誌偉
